Tokyo Olympics

This is a non-official proposal, and my statement, for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics identity competition.
An event as important as this one should be well represented by its visual identity.
Unfortunately, there’s no intellectual investment in the design of the Olympics by the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. You can’t just provide a poor template waiting for logo submissions where the designer loses all copyright and intellectual property rights of the provided design. This is not about crowdsourcing, it’s about devaluing the hard work of lots of people. Not only designers. Everybody. And it’s happening... not just now, but for far too long. Don’t work for free, value what you do and stand up for your rights. This is for us. This is for the people.
